DIFFERENT DAZE OF AN ARTIST
Good days, bad days, anxious days, awesome days, productive days and messed up days all equal the dazed and confused emotions of an artist. Let me sum it up for you through an analogy of my favourite songs and quotes. As Led Zeppelin put it there have been painting days where I feel like I've been "been dazed and confused for so long". There are days when I stray from my original plan and next thing you know "I'm going off the rails on a crazy train" (Ozzy Osbourne) in a good way. Some days I'm a Dancing Queen (Abba) and just want to "Jump around, jump up, jump up and get down" (House of Pain). There are days I avoid painting at all costs cause "I'm like a bird, I only fly away" (Nelly Furtado) and days when I want to paint forever cause "I like it, I love it, I want some more of it" (Tim McGraw). I suppose based on my personality that if art was boring, predictable and monotonous I'd have given it up and Run Through the Jungle (CCR). Life is a highway and I want to ride it all night long (Rascal Flats) so I continue on my journey not knowing how each piece will evolve, turn out or how my moods will control my work that day . Van Morrison said "there'll be days like this" and so each day I carry on and "Take Everything as it comes; the wave passes, deal with the next one" - Tom Thomson
